Jakarta Karang Taruna Ready to Support City in Preventing COVID-19 Transmission

Jakarta Karang Taruna (youth) Organization for 2019-2024 period is ready to help Jakarta Government in preventing COVID-19 spread.

Currently, our members are focusing on supporting government to prevent COVID-19 spread

Jakarta Karang Taruna Chairperson, Muhammad Mul conveyed, currently his side participates in campaigning 3M protocols (wear mask, wash hands, and keep safe distance) that continuously socialized by Jakarta Government. His side also imposed restrictions on actions that could gather a large crowd.

"Currently, our members are focusing on supporting government to prevent COVID-19 spread, such as monitoring activities during curfew to prevent gathering and distribute masks to the residents who do activities outdoor," he said, Friday (9/4).

Not only supporting Jakarta Government in preventing COVID-19 spread, his side also making updates regarding the ownership of Member Identity Cards (KTA) from RW to provincial levels.

"After we recorded their data properly, we can monitor the direction of this regeneration, making it easy to manage," he asserted.

For the work program, Jakarta Karang Taruna planned to build creative school to facilitate children who dropped out of school with soft skills thus they could create jobs.

"We will immediately hold a meeting to determine our work programs in short-term, medium-term, and long-term," he closed.
